The SEIU Local 1 & BOMA/Chicago Training & Legal Fund is a multi-employer benefit fund established through collective bargaining in 2025 to provide training and legal benefits to eligible participants. The Fund was created by BOMA Chicago and SEIU Local 1 to support personal/workforce development and provide access to legal benefits for eligible participants and their families, as defined by the Plan. The Fund is jointly administered by a Board of Trustees made up of representatives appointed by BOMA Chicago and SEIU Local 1. The Trustees ensure that the Fund is administered in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreements and federal laws governing employee benefit plans in overseeing the administration of the Fund.
Benefits are provided strictly in accordance with the Plan Documents and Trust Agreement, which set forth eligibility requirements, covered benefits, limitations, and procedures applicable to the Fund. The Trustees administer the Fund with the goal of ensuring fair and consistent application of the Plan’s provisions for all eligible participants and beneficiaries. Participants should refer to the official Plan Documents and Summary Plan Description (SPD) for complete details regarding benefits, eligibility, and plan rules. If there is any discrepancy between information provided on this website and the governing Plan documents, the terms of the Plan documents will control.
